Los Monitos Supports Schools!
Los Monitos Language Center views itself as a resource for schools, administrators and teachers. Of course, each individual school, district or board of education makes the decision about whether or not to offer language or cultural education. Los Monitos can be part of implementing, supplementing or supporting that decision.Los Monitos Can Implement Your Language Program
When a school wants to offer language and/or cultural instruction to its students, but doesn’t want to tackle the oversight of it or the learning curve to deliver the program, Los Monitos Language Center can be the solution.We will develop and customize curriculum to match the school’s pedagogy. We will bring our expertise of working with and teaching children to engage students to be motivated to learn a foreign language. While not technically part of a school’s full-time faculty, our instructors will participate in planning, monitoring and evaluating of student progress and integrate with the administration and other faculty to provide a seamless solution for language and cultural instruction.
In addition, Los Monitos takes on the burden of payroll, benefits, substitution, replacement and other activities that are required to oversee departments and faculties.
Los Monitos Can Supplement Your Language Program
If a school had made the commitment to offer one or more languages, Los Monitos can work with administrators to supplement the language programs. Perhaps Spanish is being taught to all students, but some parents are requesting other languages like French, German, Italian, Chinese or Arabic. Given current economic and budget constraints, it's unlikely any or all of these programs could be implemented in the same way the Spanish program is.But, Los Monitos can provide a solution: Fractional language programs. Because we are a company and not an employee, we can assign partial instructors or a rotating set of instructors to teach languages.
Maybe it would be sufficient to add one section of German? Maybe a survey course could be added that would introduce students to a number of languages, so that they could evaluate which language they might want to pursue in the long term. Los Monitos Language Center will work directly with administrators and other advocates to create the best fit – which allows schools to not have to settle on a single language offering.

Los Monitos Can Support Your Existing Program
When full-time language programs are in place, our experience and relationships with those language teachers indicate that the teachers have their hands full. That means that while well-intentioned, teachers just don’t have the time to implement all of their ideas that could reinforce in-classroom learning.
Los Monitos can be that reinforcement system by scheduling, administering and facilitating additional services or activities. These activities can be paid by the school, student-paid or something in-between, and the administration of them are completely overseen by Los Monitos!

For parents who have made the decision to oversee their children’s education personally, Los Monitos Language Center can be the solution for language education.Typical homeschooling environments allow for the parents or, by working through cooperatives, other parents to teach subjects personally, perhaps from one’s own experience.
In the field of foreign language this can be challenging, especially if parents who are native speakers or have a formal language background cannot be found. Los Monitos already works with individual homeschoolers and Co-ops to deliver highly effective language instruction by instructors with native or near-native accents.
Programs can be developed and customized to meet the pace of learning of the students and at the same time meet the expectations of the parents.
